ASA Brands & Rotary: 35 + Years of Service

Partnerships

At ASA Brands, community is at the heart of everything we do. For more than 35 years, our Directors and team have proudly supported and served with the Cork Rotary Club and Dublin Central Rotary Club, contributing at both Local and District levels. This commitment has seen us take part in projects that not only bring people together here in Ireland, but also deliver life-changing impact around the world.

Supporting the Local Community

Rotary in Ireland is all about connecting people and creating opportunities to give back. ASA Brands has been deeply involved in a number of local initiatives, including:

  • The Cork Remembrance Tree – a much-loved event where people can dedicate ribbons in memory of loved ones, while raising vital funds for local charities.
  • St. Patrick’s Day Parade – joining the city’s biggest celebration of culture and community spirit.
  • The Dolly Parton Library – supporting early childhood literacy by providing free books to children.

These projects remind us that small acts of service can make a big difference in people’s daily lives.

Changing Lives Across the Globe

Rotary’s reach is international, and ASA Brands involvement has extended far beyond Cork and Dublin. Working with Rotary International, we’ve played a role in humanitarian projects that provide education, healthcare, clean water, and hope to communities most in need.

Light of Maasai – Water & Schools in Kenya

  • In Rombo, Kenya, ASA Brands and Rotary supported the construction of small schools, medical clinics, and water wells-bringing vital education, healthcare, and clean water to rural communities.

 Sand Dam Project – Kenya

  • Working alongside Irish Rotary Clubs, we helped fund and build sand dams in rivers in Kenya. These innovative dams capture rainwater, rejuvenating flood plains and turning once-barren land into fertile ground where communities can grow crops and sustain themselves.

Bikes for Africa

  • This initiative collects, refurbishes, and ships bicycles to schools in Africa. By providing reliable transport, children can travel safely to school—giving them access to education and opportunities for a brighter future.

2024 Walk for Water

  • In 2024, The Dublin Central Rotary took on the challenge of “Will you walk so they don’t have to?” and raised €30,000 through the Walk for Water campaign. The funds drilled a brand-new well in a small Kenyan village, bringing flowing and clean water to the community. For the first time, 500 children and adults have safe water at their doorstep. This is an achievement that will change lives for generations to come.

Looking Ahead

From Cork’s Remembrance Tree to sand dams in Kenya, ASA Brands partnership with Rotary over the last three decades has been a journey of service, connection, and impact. We are proud of the work achieved so far, but even more excited about the projects still to come.

Together with Rotary, we remain committed to the core principle that guides everything we do: “Service Above Self.” Work with us to make a difference.
